  • Out of a healthy animal in good to excellent body condition

  • Out of an animal that has reached maturity and is no longer growing additional carcass

  • Out of an animal that has been fattened on lightly stocked native range (as opposed to animals fattened on moderate or highly stocked native range or animals fattened on intensively managed tame pasture)

  • Out of an animal that has not been contaminated with growth hormones, antibiotics, and other additives considered by consumers as being unhealthy
