Who We Are |
|
Native Habitat Organization is a grassroots conservation group dedicated to protecting and improving the ecological health and, whenever possible, the agricultural value of Texas rangelands. We believe that by researching, demonstrating, and teaching responsible use of Texas rangelands, we can save a few remaining areas of wide-open space and native surroundings from the destructive effects of habitat fragmentation and other rangeland degrading practices. Given today's accelerating loss of rangelands in Texas, especially prairie and savanna types, we believe our calling is urgent. NHO welcomes anyone who shares our concern for healthy food, clean water, clean air, native plants and wildlife, and upholding high standards of land ethics. Membership in our organization is open to anyone interested in furthering our organization's goals and objectives. |
